Soft washing isn't really about pressure at all — it's about chemistry. We apply a low-strength, biodegradable detergent through a low-pressure pump, give it time to break down algae, lichen and biological growth, and then rinse cleanly. The result is a deep clean without the risk of damage that high pressure can cause to fragile surfaces.

Roof tiles, render, painted walls, conservatory roofs, fencing, decking and even some delicate stonework all benefit from soft washing. On roofs in particular, soft washing kills the algae spores at the root, which means the green and black staining stays away for longer than with a simple pressure rinse.

We use products that are safe for plants, pets and people once they've broken down. Wherever we apply chemicals we sheet up planted areas and pre-water surrounding borders so anything that does land is heavily diluted.

Soft washing is usually slower than pressure washing for the operator but kinder to the surface and the surroundings. For older or fragile buildings it's almost always the right choice.
